Pupils start learning German from Year 5. Through the study of a foreign language they are able to gain an understanding of another country and its culture. Pupils also learn about the basic structures of language and enhance their German reading, writing, speaking and listening skills through class work and homework activities.
The school runs a two-yearly excursion to the Rhineland where pupils can use their German and experience life in another country |
