Mathematics teaching at Park Middle is designed
to allow pupils to be at ease and confident with numbers. We also aim to develop
a positive attitude and approach that develops alongside this confidence.
We work to enable pupils to gain the language
skills and skills necessary for life and employment in the ever changing
technical world in which we live.
During their time at Park Middle School pupils
work on the application of number; algebra; data handling; shape and space,
incorporating training in logical thought; recognition of patterns and problem
solving techniques. This enables pupils to make progress in accordance with the
requirements of the National Numeracy Strategy and the National Curriculum.
